One Land & Platform Paradise

FAST, the Foundation for Achieving Seamless Territory, announced in 2008, One Land and Platform Paradise, two projects celebrating the rebirth of Ein Hawd, a recently recognised Palestinian village in Israel.

The projects unfold, step-by-step, the creation of a new discipline on the intersection between architecture and human rights. They explore and expose new methodologies, where design is being used as a social, economical, cultural instrument aimed at breaking decades of isolation and at generating an immediate improvement to people’s livelihood.

The projects came about thanks to our sponsors: Fonds BKVB, OXFAM-novib, the Netherlands architecture fund and the local Dutch embassy in Israel. As well as, to many people that contributed to the various stages.

With this website, we bring together the final results: the objects, the new spaces, the art pieces, the social-cultural-economical moments of change that were created by a group of artists, architects, writers, designers, volunteers and the Palestinian villagers of Ein Hawd.
