TThe SCHOOL
Ein Hawd never had a formal school. However, in the 70’s, the villagers built a small concrete cabin in the center of the village, approximately 20 square meters. They improvised a school, which until now is functioning as such. Recently, after the recognition, the government constructed two more similar cabins, one which functions as another classroom and one as a kindergarten.
The whole complex is placed in the center of the village. It is too small and run-down. In addition, it blocks the only area in the current village that can become a center. In the new masterplan, the school and kindergarten are moved to the upper part of the village. They have a view and face the park. The new school-complex can be used by the villagers as a community center.
